Fashion Crush Friday: Maternity Kate Middleton
The Duchess of Cambridge is a fashion icon for a reason. I'm a big believer that she never puts a foot wrong as a general rule, and she was especially great at maternity dressing with Prince George and Princess Charlotte. I know the modern fashion these days is for a bump-hugging, figure-flaunting wardrobe, but it feels a little weird to me.

Escape: Lighthouses of the North
With summer (maybe, I hope?) finally looming, I've got outdoor adventures on the mind. I'm going to be pregnant, so there won't be much room for strenuous crazy stuff. Plus, I've been thinking lately that our time in our New England state might be limited so it makes sense to really try to soak up the local area. Whether we end up moving in the near future or not, big trips abroad or across the country seem unlikely with a little one.
Kind of out of nowhere, I've ended up with a refreshed interest in the lighthouses covering our coastline. There's a huge range of architectural styles from different eras, and there are hundreds scattered up and down the coastline. I just love the symbology behind them and thought that The Boy and I could have a fun little new tradition of marking lighthouses off our list.

Garments: Playful Frocks
Most days I convince myself that we're having a boy, largely because when I start imagining little girl frocks I go crazy. Like hormone-crazy to the max, wondering if she'll look better in blues or reds, and how long I can keep her in cotton dresses with bloomers and leggings for all seasons.
