Just Because: Tattoos


This is not a confession, I promise. A good chunk of my friends and family members have tattoos now, so I've definitely started to come around. I'm a big fan of the rib or hip tattoo that's hidden about 99% of the time. I'm not committed to a design yet, and I think I'd rather wait until I've had a child or two to see how the stretch marks and skin changes go.

Fashion Crush Friday: Bryce Dallas Howard



I hadn't paid much attention to Bryce Dallas Howard until she started popping up for two interesting reasons. One is that for her role in Black Mirror, she had to gain 30 lbs. which she is working off, and leaves her dressing a curvier figure. The second is because she's been very open about how not being a sample size reduces her options for awards shows and red carpets.

I love the idea of using great literature as the foundation of our early years. When I look back on my life, I see that living books had a huge impact on me as a child. In those early years, the best thing to establish in a child is a delight in stories and language. Once you can read, a wealth of potential knowledge opens up to you.
