There's a beautiful superstition that feathers are a sign from heaven. There is something divine about the gift of flight and all those hollow bones, so its not an unreasonable connection. Feather/bird pieces feel difficult to wear on an average day, which is kind of unfortunate. These pieces somehow merge the romantic and the powerful, and it's so nice to see rich texture on display against a world of polyester and leather.
If you really want to make a statement, these golden capes feel aggressively tailored and a bit Mockingjay.
I love these feathered bottoms paired with otherwise normal tops. They're inherently fanciful items, so grounding them with neutrals keeps them from looking like actual costume pieces.
Deep down, everyone's got a bird of choice, and let's just say my spirit animal isn't quite a dove with an olive branch. I'm loving these black, raven/crow, vibes. I might be crazy, but I actually think I could get away with either of the outfits on the left.
Like the vibe, but not your dress sense? How about a cheerful scarf or some feather drawer pulls?
