When you think tech, you don't normally think of high fashion Vogue photoshoots. Marissa Meyer is the tremendous exception to the rule. The Yahoo CEO was initially hired while heavily pregnant, and has always resisted talking about what it means to be a woman in her geek boy world. Fortunately, she just loves to make a fashionable statement and is treated very well by the Vogue world. There's a nice profile in The Cut if you aren't familiar with her.
Fortunately, she often ends up at fancy charity galas where she goes bold and impresses. Other women in the industry often get it awkwardly wrong or bow out entirely by going with a simple black gown. Let's see how Marissa handles things!
As we can tell from these four, Marissa leans towards the romantic and feminine and isn't especially concerned with edgy or architectural pieces. These are all either lacey or floral and the silhouette does consistently emphasize her lean frame.
She also isn't afraid to go feminine when she's giving big public presentations in the corporate sphere. She keeps her hair short and sleek, and definitely watches her hem length, but this are still distinctly female outfits.
She does plays into media coverage when it suits her, and even chose these gowns for her Vogue profiles herself. She knows what she likes!
What do you think? Are you impressed with Marissa Meyer's presence compared to the Zuck Hoodie Club and the Job's turtlenecks?
