I hesitated to even profile Alexis Chung because surely at some point there can be too many tributes to one human being. Fortunately for you, my reader, I've decided that she's just too good to pass up. This gazelle has made a career out of getting dressed, and my father may think that's a damning indictment on modern society, but God does that girl look good.
She's quirky with a vintage flair, and like Sam Cam she consistently shows off her best assets. She focuses on her legs, never tries to highlight cleavage or curves that she doesn't have, and loves flat shoes like loafers.
She has an impeccable eye for those finishing details ie. the way she ties the belt on a jacket just right, or gets an oversized shirt to drape off one shoulder effortlessly. I've heard her called Ballerina Chic, which I absolutely adore. Some of those details would look cutesie or juvenile on another woman, but something in her carriage elevates them to graceful and poised.
Proportions are always spot on. Here the shirt is somehow flowing over the sleeves without ever looking bulky near the overall straps.

It doesn't hurt that she's got a minuscule frame, but she gets the overhang and swing on the dress just right.
The drape on this little jumpsuit is just gorgeous. She wore it to Chanel and I'm almost in pain at the way she captured this kind of classy pajama softness and swirl with that belting.
Continuing that focus on proportions and draping, this coat dress is just impeccable. It shows off her legs (because she's Alexa Chung so duh), and the little bows going up the front, combined with the bell sleeves, completely soften this formal, thick black.
I think what I might love most is the sense of quirkiness to her. She isn't afraid of bows, hanging ties, and exaggerated proportions. I mean we're look at a Chanel picnic basket purse here.
On the right, the black components all coordinate neatly by extenuating completely different rough, exaggerated textures. On the left, she loves a good Peter Pan collar.
And for the final kicker... she's sleeping with Alexander Skarsgard. Yep, friends, some people really do have it all.
