Celebrations: Chinese Lunar New Year

As an initial observation, I'm not sure that white people are allowed to celebrate Chinese Lunar New Year. But... if I did, I would have a fantastic time. 2017 is going to be the Year of the Rooster and the idea of a gold and red shebang sounds like a blast.
For dessert, these cake pops with unique little tags are adorable, or you could keep it simple with fortune cookies in a beautiful glass holder that doubles as a center piece.

These cupcakes are ornate and beautiful on the left. I'd almost feel guilty eating one, but I'd get to it just fine. The lantern cookies on the right are sweet, and the Chinese coins actually seem like they wouldn't be that hard to make.

The traditional red envelope to give out cash looks amazing hanging from gold branches. In the same vein, the miniature red lanterns hanging from cherry blossoms in ginger vases on the right look fantastic. Extra points for working in the cherry blossoms.

The place setting on the left using the Zodiac calendar is gorgeous, or an infinitely more casual option is to assign everyone a place holder takeout container and serve the meal family style.

To get in the holiday season and welcome your guests, these wreaths are gorgeous.

So... still not sure if I'm allowed to have a Lunar New Year Party, but if I did I'm pretty sure it would be great.
